Atmosphere
I was curious about the newly opened lounge, and used it when transferring during this trip. It was convenient because it was close to the transfer check-in area. When you go down the escalator, they check your boarding pass and let you in.
There was a place to store my luggage before entering the lounge, so I stored my luggage in a cabinet and then entered the lounge.
The lounge had a cozy atmosphere with dark lighting and comfortable chairs. There were more people using the lounge than I expected during the morning hours. There were many seats and tables near the food, just like in a Hong Kong restaurant, so it was convenient.

Dim sum
There was a place that served dim sum that I had not seen in other lounges. In addition to dim sum, they also served simple food such as rice balls and cucumber salad. Since I had a short layover, I could not look around Hong Kong, but I was so happy to eat Hong Kong food. I was so happy to eat cucumber salad with warm steamed dim sum.

Noodles & foods
There is a place that serves simple food such as wonton noodles and congee, fruits, drinks, and coffee. I felt warm after eating the warm wonton soup ☺️ The fruits I ate on the plane were also served, and they were delicious, so I took some more. They kindly cleared the plates away from me every now and then. There was beer and wine as well as coffee, but I didn’t drink them because it was morning 😅

Shower room
Since it was a newly opened lounge, the shower facilities were wider and more comfortable than the pier lounges. There was a toilet, and I could bring my luggage in and change my clothes in the room. The towels were thick, which was nice. However, the waiting time was long. It would be better to reserve a shower right after entering the lounge. When I used it, it was so comfortable that I ended up using the shower facilities for longer than I thought 😅

Overall feeling
The Pier Lounge was also good, but the shower facilities were more comfortable and it was better because it served Hong Kong food including dim sum. However, it was smaller, so there was not enough space to rest, and it was rather noisy. And it did not serve Chinese tea.
