Delicious spicy stir-fried pork and stir-fried squid with a smoky flavor
If you go to the back of the store, there is a parking lot. It is a restaurant created by renovating an old house. The lawn is beautifully manicured. It looks like someone is living on the second floor.
The restaurant on the first floor has been newly renovated and is clean. They were selling spicy stir-fried pork, spicy stir-fried squid, and stir-fried pork with black bean sauce for those who can’t eat spicy food.
Fresh lettuce and chili peppers, as well as side dishes, were being provided for free so that people could take as much as they wanted.
Foods
When you order a main dish, warm soup is served first. It cleanses the palate.
Four types of side dishes, including kimchi, are also provided.
Spicy stir-fried pork tastes really good when wrapped in lettuce with a little ssamjang on the side. Ssamjang is one of Korea’s traditional sauces, made by mixing soybean paste and red chili paste in specific proportions.
We also ordered flat dumplings. You can eat them by placing the sweet and sour seasoned vegetables that come with the dumplings on top.
The stir-fried squid was spicy and sweet. There was plenty of squid in it. The smoky flavor was also quite noticeable.
The spicy stir-fried pork, cooked without any moisture, was also good because it was spicy yet had a sweet taste. Mixing the leftover sauce with the rice that came with it is also incredibly delicious.
Jeyuk-bokkeum(stir fried pork) is one of the lunch menus that Koreans like, and indeed, many people were coming in during lunchtime to eat. It is not an incredibly special dish. It is not worth visiting Daegu just for this, but it is a good restaurant to eat at if you are nearby.
