Atmospheres
I visited because I heard there is a delicious eel restaurant in Gwanghwamun. It is located in a large building called Gwanghwamun D Tower.
There is a restaurant on the fourth floor. Its clean yet charming design, which makes extensive use of traditional Korean Hanok elements, stands out.

Foods
We ordered the set meal that comes with eel and rice. There was also a grilled beef set, so we ordered that as well. We ordered salt-grilled eel for sharing.

A salad is served with the full meal set. It had a clean Oriental-style dressing. The vegetables were fresh.

Soy-sauce seasoned eel is served atop warm rice. Pickled vegetables and kimchi are provided alongside it. It was nice to have warm soup as well.
Unlike Japanese-style grilled eel, I liked that the seasoning wasn’t excessive or salty. It seemed like they were trying to bring out the natural flavor of the eel.

The grilled beef was also substantial, thick, and delicious. It seemed like a good choice for people who dislike eel or find it difficult to eat seafood.

We also ordered the salt-grilled eel, and I liked that it wasn’t too salty and had a clean, savory flavor. The eels were quite large, so it was just right to share a piece with others.

After finishing the meal, they served ginger sorbet, which helped cleanse the palate after the eel had left a lingering aftertaste.
Expensive but delicious
To be honest, it is by no means cheap. It would be a good place to visit for a family event. There are various restaurants in Gwanghwamun D Tower, so perhaps because of that, parking was a bit difficult on the weekend.
The restaurant was clean. I would like to commend them for their effort to offer authentic Korean flavors rather than a Japanese-style meal.
