Atmosphere

There is a breakfast restaurant on the first basement floor. A server warmly welcomes us.

The chocolate fountain looks spectacular. Cookies and biscuits are provided for dipping into the chocolate.

The restaurant’s interior stands out with its natural and clean style, utilizing materials such as wood and marble. It was a pity that the view outside could not be seen since it is located in the basement. The floor features glass, revealing traces of an old building underneath; these are said to be remnants of buildings or roads from the Joseon Dynasty. It was interesting that they were made visible through the glass rather than being buried.

When you sit down, the server gives a brief explanation, asks what kind of coffee or tea you would like, and brings it to you. I appreciated that they frequently asked if I wanted a drink throughout the breakfast. The warm cafe latte had a nice aroma, and I liked that the rich flavor of the milk came through well. They also frequently refilled the hot coffee throughout the meal.

Foods

Korean hotel breakfasts are truly amazing. A much more diverse variety of food was provided than before. It is to the point where you can hardly call it breakfast.

I was surprised to see a hotel with a wide variety of cold cuts and olives available. There were also various cream cheeses, jams, and butter available for the bread.

There were plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits, and a wide variety of salads. There was even gimbap and salmon available.

There was a wide variety of Korean side dishes available, so it seemed like a good place for foreigners to try at least once. In addition to rice, warm porridge was also prepared.

There were also Chinese dishes like stir-fried noodles and dim sum. There was homemade ham and pizza, and interestingly, it was fascinating to see that tteokbokki and other Korean snacks were also available.

There were various juice combinations available, so it was fun to choose and drink.

Behind the chocolate fountain, there was yogurt and desserts, and even ice cream was being served.

Great breakfast 👍

I really feel that the standard of hotels in Korea has risen. The breakfast, in particular, is truly exceptional, even when compared to hotels in other countries. It is true that meal prices are gradually rising 😅 Nevertheless, having such a pleasant breakfast at a luxury hotel in Seoul makes me feel like I’m on vacation and refreshes my mood. I had a great time. It was also nice to see the staff members in charge being so energetic and kind.
