A buffet of various foods in the heart of Myeongdong, Seoul.
A hotel called Le Meridien has opened in front of the Chinese Embassy in Myeongdong. There’s a buffet restaurant on the fourth floor of Le Meridien called la palette Paris.
As we exited the elevator and entered the fourth floor, the staff warmly welcomed us. Perhaps because it was a weekday evening, there weren’t as many people as I’d expected, which was a bit disconcerting, but it was actually quite pleasant.

It’s a clean restaurant with a French modern interior. The staff seated us by the window, offering a panoramic view of downtown Myeongdong.

Perhaps because it was dinnertime, they served anchovies, red wine, white wine, and even sparkling wine. The menu included simple bites, including olives, cold cuts, small bites, which I thought would be a delight for those who enjoy alcohol.

Fresh seafood, sushi, and even sashimi were on offer. I love fresh sashimi dipped in soy sauce and wasabi. There were also clams, shrimp, and crab.

It came with a variety of kimchi and side dishes that are essential for Koreans to eat with rice. It seems like a good option for foreigners who want to try Korean food.

There was also a grill corner, featuring beef ribs, lamb, and even octopus and abalone and shrimps. I was so full, but I tried a little bit of everything. I was so happy. 😀

To be honest, as I’ve gotten older, it’s become harder to eat large portions, so I haven’t really enjoyed buffets. Still, I liked this place because it had a lot of high-quality food, even though it was a buffet. It’s also conveniently located in the heart of Myeongdong. La palette Paris would be a great place to visit after a day of shopping. It’s the end of the year, so it would be a great place to have a meal with family and friends for a year-end party or before Christmas.
