A hotel where you can fully enjoy the warm sunshine and scenery of Tuscany
This hotel was where I stayed during my trip between Florence and Tuscany. It’s a Renaissance hotel, part of the Marriott chain. Located halfway up a hill, it’s difficult to access by public transportation, so I had to drive. The winding road up was charming. Before entering the hotel, there is a gate where you must check if you are a hotel guest.
The hotel was well-maintained and charming, like a well-aged wine. The building, though visibly aged, felt more like a well-kept antique than a weathered one. The entrance to the hotel featured a small fountain, which was kept immaculately clean. The path from the parking lot to the hotel was narrow and uneven, but the hotel staff, seemingly aware of the situation, were friendly and helpful.
The hotel room wasn’t equipped with the latest technology, but the air conditioning kept me cool, the bedding was soft, and the view from the window was breathtaking. I could feel I was in Tuscany. The landscape, with its low mountains and red-roofed houses clustered together, was truly breathtaking. Sunset time was especially beautiful, with the glow of the sunset adding to the beauty. It was a memorable scene from my trip.
We had breakfast at a restaurant near the hotel lobby, and it was wonderful to be able to enjoy the view outside. The staff were very friendly and generously provided us with warm coffee. We ate a lot of cheese and fruit. I was grateful to be able to dine while enjoying such a beautiful and peaceful view.
I spent the day relaxing by the pool. There were many hotel guests, too. The sun was so hot that it was too hot to play in the pool. Instead, I lay on a sunbed and soaked up the warmth. I tried to read a book, but I didn’t get to read much. When it’s too hot, there’s nothing more satisfying than cooling off in the pool and then warming myself again in the sun. I was sad to leave this hotel for another trip.
