How to get in there
After arriving in Bali, we took a pre-booked vehicle and headed to the W Hotel in Seminyak, Bali. We chose Seminyak because it was close to the airport, but the roads were narrower than expected and there were a lot of cars, so it took quite a while. Therefore, I always recommend taking your time. The roads and sidewalks were not clearly defined, and public transportation was reportedly underdeveloped.
Perhaps due to security concerns, even getting to the hotel was complicated. First, we had to pass through security. Contrary to the outside appearance, the W Hotel was very well-organized. After passing through the pleasant green bamboo path, a security guard came out and checked if we were the check-in staff before allowing us in.

Check in
It was a hot day, but the hotel was spacious and offered us a refreshing welcome drink. The staff were very friendly. There was a pink bar in the lobby.

Room tour
When we entered the room, the air conditioning was on, so it was cool. We were greeted by pink-dyed coconuts and desserts.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a typical Indonesian style with an open ceiling, so it was nice and didn’t get humid.
From the outdoor balcony, I enjoyed the W Hotel’s signature view of the stunning pool and beach. I could also watch the sun rise and set.

Breakfast at fire
I had breakfast at the hotel’s breakfast restaurant ‘fire’. The ornate ceiling decoration was particularly impressive. Upon entering, the staff greeted me warmly. I chose my desired mug and was given coffee in it. They also offered me fresh juice to wake me up. There was a variety of food, including various fruits and traditional Indonesian dishes. Everything was fresh.

Swimming pool and wet deck
Descending the stairs from the lobby, you’ll find the pool. It’s very spacious and palm trees 🌴. It was incredibly relaxing to lie down and gaze out at the ocean. We also had the option of going outside to the beach. We ordered pizza and beer, and perhaps because it was Indonesia, the prices were reasonable and reasonable. The sun was too hot to stay long, but it was still an impressive pool.

Overall feeling about this hotel
The hotel is spacious and clean, and the staff are friendly. However, perhaps due to the passage of time, it feels less modern. Still, it’s a hotel with excellent facilities. Next time, I’d like to stay in a villa.
