Geumsubokguk – Apgujeong, 금수복국 압구정

A restaurant where you can taste Korean-style pufferfish cuisine

This restaurant’s main branch is in Haeundae, Busan. It is famous for its Korean-style pufferfish dishes, so there is also a branch in Seoul.

The entire building located in the middle of Gangnam is a restaurant! Valet parking is also available. When you arrive at the building, you just go up to the restaurant.

If you look at the menu, you can see that there are a wide variety of pufferfish dishes. It comes with neat side dishes including warm tofu.

One of my favorite is the Korean-style spicy pufferfish skin salad. If you are not Korean, it can be very spicy because of gochujang, so be careful. It’s a mixture of fresh vegetable and chewy pufferfish skin with sweet and spicy Korean style dressing.

You must try Korean style pufferfish soup. You can choose the type of pufferfish for the soup. You can order it spicy or not, but I prefer not spicy. The water parsley and bean sprouts in the soup are taken out separately and sprinkled with vinegar and hot sauce, which is a delicacy.

In particular, pufferfish dishes are known to be very expensive in Japan, but here, you can eat at a relatively low price, so many foreigners visit. It is one of the few restaurants in Korea that is open 24 hours, so it is good to visit the next morning to recover from a hangover after drinking.
